The Conejos County Willow Pit will open
To county residents on:
Time: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Location: East of Manassa on HWY 142 approximately 4.5 miles--north side.
We accept yard waste - tree branches <5”, willows, limbs, leaves, shrubbery, and grasses. No household trash, tires, furniture, construction/demolition debris, no large tree stumps will be accepted.
Fee: Non-perishible food items will be accepted at the entry. (please no expired food!)

The Conejos County Commissioners and the Land Use Office are seeking to fill two positions on the Planning Commission and two positions on the Board of Adjustments.
The Planning Commission is an advisory board appointed by County Commissioners to hear matters related to County growth and development. The Planning Commission is a seven-member body and each member serves a term of three years. The Planning Commission meets the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00 PM.
The Board of Adjustments is a review body appointed by the County Commissioners to hear, review and make decisions on applications for zone district standards and to hear, review, consider and affirm, modify or reverse appeals of interpretations of this code made by the Land Use Administrator. The Board of Adjustments is a five-member body and each member serves a term of three years. The Board of Adjustments meets the second Wednesday of every month at 6:00 PM.
The Qualifications to serve on either Board is to be a resident and registered voter of Conejos County. If you are interested in serving on either Board please submit a letter of interest to the Conejos County Commissioners, PO Box 197, Conejos, CO 81129. If you have questions, please call the Land Use Office at (719) 376-2014.
